TOUR 1
: KRUGER TOUR
The 13 day South African Experience and Safari…
Day
1 Leave Stellenbosch in morning and head for Karoo National Park.
Enjoy refreshments at Matjiesfontein, followed by late afternoon game
drive in Karoo Park. Overnight in Park.
Day 2 To Bloemfontein as an overnight stop.
Day 3 To Badplaas (hot springs) in Mpumalanga where you spend the
night.
Day 4 Today you have time to enjoy the hot springs and to explore
the environment before leaving for Skukuza in the Kruger Park. Late
afternoon game drive in Park.
Days 5 - 7 Experience the famous Kruger National Park
Day 8 Leave Kruger Park and continue to Pezulu, a private reserve
near Hoedspruit. Late afternoon you will be accompanied on a guided tour
to view the famous white lions, followed by a delicious dinner
(included).
Day
9 Leave for Blydepoort, Bourke's Luck, God's Window and Pilgrim's Rest
before you overnight in Graskop.
Day 10 Travel to Golden Gate National Park.
Day 11 Travel to Aliwal North. Relax in the hot springs before you
overnight in the Spa hotel.
Day 12 Leave for Oudtshoorn where you overnight.
Day 13 Visit Cango Caves and Safari ostrich farm before returning
to Stellenbosch/Cape Town.
TOUR 2
A 10 NIGHT, 11 DAY TOUR OF THE WESTERN CAPE
DAY 1: You will be collected from the airport and we will proceed on an orientation tour of Cape Town with refreshments on Signal Hill, depending on time of arrival. Transport to accommodation at
Stellenbosch.
DAY 2: Peninsula tour; to visit the famous Cape Point Nature Reserve and Cape of Good Hope we travel through Sea Point, Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Groot Constantia (original Dutch wine farm established by Simon van der Stel) Boulders for penguins, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg.
DAY 3: Historical Cape town (Castle, Malay Quarter, Slave Lodge, Buildings of Parliament etc) and a trip up Table Mountain by cable car - weather permitting. The afternoon is spent at the Waterfront for shopping or an optional cruise to Robben Island, where President Mandela was imprisoned.
DAY 4: Winelands Tour: Pass through Stellenbosch, Paarl and the Franchhoek valley. The tour includes three wine tastings and a visit to the Huguenot Monument.
DAY 5: Leisure day at Stellenbosch with a traditional South African braai in the evening.
DAY 6: Hermanus for whale watching (in season only; August - December). Visit Harold Porter Botanical Garden,
Houw Hoek Inn, Elgin and travel over Sir Lowry's Pass.
DAY 7: Depart on Garden Route tour. Pass through Swellendam, visit Bontebok National Park, Mossel Bay, Wilderness and spend the night at
Knysna.
An alternative at extra cost for this day is an overnight stop at a game
ranch with two game drives and traditional dinner in a "Lapa".
DAY 8: Explore Knysna on your own and then we travel by ferry to the Western Head of the Knysna Lagoon for lunch - included. We take an afternoon drive through the magnificent passes to look at the indigenous
forests and return to Knysna.
DAY 9: Cross the Outeniqua mountains to Oudtshoorn where we visit an Ostrich Farm and also a Cheetah and Crocodile Ranch. Lunch
included. Spend the night in Oudtshoorn.
DAY 10: Visit the famous Cango Caves and return to Stellenbosch via
Montagu and Worcester.
DAY 11: Transfer to Airport.
THIS TOUR IS BASED ON BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION. ALL ENTRANCE FEES AND WINE TASTINGS WILL BE PAID, BUT DINNERS, DRINKS AND LUNCHES (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. THE PRICE ALSO INCLUDES THE FERRY, ENTRANCE TO CAVES, OSTRICH AND CHEETAH FARM.
